Pete Walsh (Attorney Peter Walsh, Grand Rapids, MI) was sent a letter today advising him to do something about his client's (Annalise McMenamin) 80+ violations of allowing the children to speak with me. The entire letter text is attached.
To: Peter Walsh July 3, 2005
Your client has intentionally refused to allow the children to speak with their father the past six days at the 7:00pm court ordered contact time(s). This is over 80 intentional violations of the telephone contact time. You have been aware of this on several occasions and I have received no valid response.
Additionally, when her phone is in service she will cancel the call and intentionally not answer it to make arrangements for a future attempt to contact the children. The children have both cited that “she hangs the phone up” and otherwise “will not answer when daddy calls”. There is no valid reason why she pushes the call to voicemail each time so she can attempt to use the excuse that she does not have a telephone number to reach me back at a whim. This is another abuse of your client’s parenting time under the temporary custody order.
Your client is obviously aware of the children’s preference to be with their father and her attempts at alienating them from their father are recognized by the children in their constant state of defiance and her need to use corporeal punishment on them. She is also in complete violation of the joint legal provisions by failing to make any attempts to notify of non-emergency health care, educational needs, and third party caretaker decisions.
I expect immediate resolution of these issues.
Very Truly Yours,
