Eyewitness (ABC NEWS) Channel 11 in Raleigh, North Carolina did a story on a recent Child Support Snafu http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=troubleshooter&id=5594128 which has lead to at least one frustrated individual that has been plagued by the child support industry.

Every year Luis has to file a motion to challenge the findings. He says, "They see that I'm right and they will dismiss it every year."

I took the time to post a few comments about why this individual has had such a problem because I think what is happening is such an incredible waste of taxpayer dollars:

The reason that the Child Support Agency wants to show an arrearage in this gentleman's case is because it allows them to claim that they are collecting at a higher percentage on arrearage cases. The child support or Title IV-D agency receives more money if they can show that they are performing exceptionally well on "arrearages."

Each case that these "child support" agencies open they get paid more federal money. So for each 1.00 that they spend, they receive 2.00 additional dollars from the Federal Taxpayers. This amounts to welfare for middle and upper class families at the complete expense of the taxpayer. Give me a break people. These people are making good money and should not be receiving welfare services. Basically the person that is receiving the free benefit, which is the court created "custodial" parent so they should have to pay.

Our judiciary has been sold out under cooperative agreements so that they create these orders and get paid as a direct result of their decisions. We no longer have an independent judiciary, but a miner and sapper of our individual rights.

Child Support Snafus are not something that are unique to just North Carolina. They are happening throughout the United States due to immense caseloads associated with the highly competitive child support industry. The caseloads are so critical high and the errors are so common due to the State program directors packing as many middle and upper class feuding families into the programs. By padding the participation numbers the agencies receive more federal matching funds at taxpayer expense. The program no longer focuses on recovering debt associated with welfare expenes and now focuses almost solely on revenue generation for the State budgets. Children are now worth a specific amount of money when "enrolled" into these free for all welfare programs that lack proper restrictive eligibility requirements. Restricting participation would reduce errors and increase efficiency, while bringing the programs' focus back to aid for needy families.

Lary Holland and Brian Downs attend the regularly scheduled Flint City Council Meeting and present to the Council and the Audience on Equal Parenting and House Bill 4564.

Brian Downs and Lary Holland presented to the regularly Flint City Council Meeting and were invited back to discuss critical issues surrounding Equal Parenting and how it affects the City's long-term health and growth. "The next best thing to an intact family is a child having equal access to both fit, willing, and able parents," was the message presented. "Individuals coming together make families, families coming together make communities, communities come together to make government," stated Lary Holland and further, "If the most basic unit fails, so does the government."

Simply put "if the basic unit or building block is falling apart so will the government, you can't have a strong government or community when the family is being destroyed," states Holland. Both speakers indicated that you have to protect the family unit to strengthen the community.

The Flint City Council was provided detailed information pertaining to House Bill 4564 and Council members and President invited the speakers back to discuss these issues further and look into ways to strengthen the government by strengthening families.

Special thanks goes out to the Community Leaders, the Flint City Council, and the supportive residents that listened and attended. It means alot to see communities coming together to strengthen the most important building block, our children and families.

This is the question that needs to be asked when Counties such as Kent County are begging for their bloated FOC and Family Court Budgets to be increased. The State Court Administrator's Office recently made a recommendation to add a Circuit Court Judge. The Kent County Friend of the Court will be soon touting that they are losing money because of changes in Title IV-D welfare. Expect it. Simply put they are misleading you.

Here is what greedy politicians, judges, and Kent County FOC employees are not telling you:

The reason that the Kent County Friend of the Court is going to be whining is because the changes made in Title IV-D welfare is going to require them to pay for 1/3 of their own costs instead of allowing the FOC to double-dip from the same pot for reimbursement of Title IV-D Welfare Services.

The U.S Tax Payer is footing 2/3 of the entire bill for Kent County Title IV-D Welfare Services for the inclusion of the middle-class into their welfare scheme. The rest of the 1/3 is going to now be coming out of Michigan/Kent County residents pockets for including the middle-class into the Title IV-D welfare scheme that have never received cash assistance under TANF welfare programs. 

Tax Payers should reject arguments by Kent County that they are "losing money." Kent County will be "losing money" only because they are providing welfare services without eligibility requirements which has unnecessarily wasted tax payer money and included willing parents that are middle-class into their wasteful welfare program to make it appear to the federal government that their federal monies were justified.

As a resident of Kent County you should be mad as hell that Kent County has been sucking in the middle-class into their title iv-d welfare program at YOUR EXPENSE. *This has been going on for almost a decade* 

Every person that Kent County shoves into their welfare program they get some money from the U.S. Tax Payers. Now that Kent County can't double dip money from the U.S. Tax Payers they are going to be begging the local community to maintain their same level of funding before the double-dipping loophole was caught by legislators. Meaning that they can't use other federal funding to make up for their share of the expense for operating this wasteful welfare program. They are going to start sweating because they are providing too many entitlement welfare services to people that never belonged in the system in the first place. Kent County and other Counties will be caught with their pants down.

Counties like Kent have been trapping willing parents into temporary orders to elevate their child support collection costs, get more federal money, and manufacture "non custodial parents" that absent court orders that limit the children's interaction with one parent, would provide loving custodial environments for their children. Stop the inclusion of the middle-class into Kent County's welfare programs. Children deserve to be parented by both parents, not to be sold out for federal money.
