(Be there at 6:00PM EDT) Celebration of Ron Smith's Life!

Scherry has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Children Need Both Parents, Inc.

Michigan and the Nation have indeed lost a true warrior and a great
leader. We learned of this information early on Saturday morning, it took quite awhile to get over the shock of what had happened. This is another life-changing experience for me personally and we all need to take a moment and tell the ones that are important us, our friends, our family members that we love them and appreciate them. In essence, what we perceive as him leaving us, is God's way of letting us know that truly did succeed. He departs Earth
to be with his son, which tells us that he has planted all the necessary seeds to change society, we all now have to act on them and see them grow in his memory. Ron... we will miss you and we all will continue to love you!

Minister Ronald Smith and Lary Holland at the National Fatherhood Summit in 2007. When I return home during the week all pictures, video, and audio will be made accessible over the next several weeks to those that want to help spread the seeds of change and watch them grow in his memory.

Minister Smith was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. A product of the Chicago Public School system, furthered his education by attending and graduating from the University of Michigan at Dearborn. He further attended the Illinois Institute of Technology pursuing a degree in Public Administration.

Minister Smith has worked for the Mayor of the City of Chicago, and has also served as Assistant to the First Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Aviation for the City of Chicago. He has spent 15 years with the Community Mental Health Council as a Mental Health Professional and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Therapist under Dr. Carl C. Bell. During
this time, he also served as a Substitute Teacher in the Chicago Public School system.

Minister Smith is founder and CEO of Children Need Both Parent, Inc. which is a non profit 501(c)(3) based in Chicago, Illinois and Headquartering in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Children Need Both Parents, Inc. was founded in 1993 initially to assist non custodial parents to maintain an equal and positive relationship with their children. CNBP has since become an advocate of the American Family highlighting the importance of the protection of the parent child relationship.

Minister Smith is the father of two sons, Richmond E. Smith (deceased) and Ariel D. Smith. His sons were victims of Parental Alienation which has sparked his push for the elimination of these practices nationwide and spotlighted the need for shared parenting legislation to exist throughout this country. He is the author of the book Cheated (A Documented Account of Parental Alienation Syndrome) co-authored by his son Ariel.

Minister Smith dedicates his efforts to the memory of his son Richmond Elihu Smith who passed on April 27, 2007 from complications of liver cancer believed to be the result from the administration of Ritatlin.

"We will not stop until Shared Parenting is the norm, the senseless medication of our children has come to an end and the parent child relationship is protected at all cost." Minister Ronald E. Smith (2008)

ACTION LIST COUNTDOWN TO TONIGHT! Final Destination? DC FESTIVAL 2008

Last night on the GET OFF THE BENCH talk show we indicated we were going to send out special announcements regarding final destination DC FESTIVAL 2008 after we spoke with our awesome Equal Parenting Bike Trekkers last night. This is that message. Print this email off as a task list if you have to, it is important. WE all have to get this stuff done. This email is intended to be redistributed today by leadership to County and State groups as well as to direct action activists that are ready to move beyond the keyboard.

Volunteers. We need several volunteers asap!!! Please fill out this form: FORM SITE FOR VOLUNTEER SIGN UP - digest readers email me at dcevents@laryholland.com for direct link.

We need people to notify the organizations listed at this site that a group supporting Parental Rights are going to be in Washington DC.

http://www.editgrid.com/user/indianacrc/DCFcontacts

1. click one of the links near the top of the spreadsheet, then log each organization that you email information to about the festival. Remember, the point of our advocacy efforts are not just to meet one another, but to recruit and notify outside organizations and agencies that we exist. Your help is invaluable to this end! We simply cannot do it all. We have to get more volunteers.

2. If you have questions, contact splitntwo@yahoo.com, amothersfight@yahoo.com, or loop_hole_justice@yahoo.com. They will be able to explain answers to any of your questions in the next 24 hours. Don't wait!

We have had around 23 states contribute something! This is awesome and we have done this in just under 60 days, and now we really have to pull off a miracle. We have raised more than 6 times the past efforts for this event, but have still fallen short with organizational benefactors waiting to get involved. You are part of that miracle of why we have been successful up to this point and we have made great strides demonstrating that individuals can make a real difference.

We can do some more and it can start with a donation, telephone call, or volunteer position. I think you will agree. Make a point to contact at least two people in states that have not contributed yet, and urge the importance. We need to get more states involved for this building block event and because many states have not hit their groups minimum. This hurts the event in a bad way and we have to cure this over the next 24-30 hours. Every person can help recruit $5.00 - $10.00 donations for the states that have not gotten involved. We want at least half the states to on the board as this is truly a NATIONAL issue. Let's prove it.

Also, look into any membership fees that you might have submitted to organizations and see if those organizations have contributed financially to a parental right's event in 2008. If not, this is the perfect event for larger organizations to step up to. We also have a need for speakers in select areas to complete the programs. If you sense any organizations are silent, with a "wait and see" approach to their support, then it stands to reason they will "wait and see" on legislative activities as well. People hate it when I make a statement like this, but as advocates, sometimes we have to take time and spend it advocating to our organizations. Speaking to ourselves, although important, impedes our ability to sway legislators. This is important when reviewing which organizations to support in the coming year after the election. I don't know about you, but I am done with the wait and see approach to advocacy. It gets us nowhere and results in more time away from our children.

I typically have supported activities of most known organizations and even I will be reviewing which ones I financially and physically support for the coming years and hope you will to. Remember the prediction email that I sent out? Conceptualize, Visualize, Materialize!

Here is something to consider:
"The best way to predict the future is to invent it." I have been trying to help all invent a future where we have equal access to our children and help as many as possible individually as possible. Are we "waiting and seeing" and failing to invent the future? Parental Equality seems like a worthy issue to take up and fight.

Final letters of support need to get into me asap. Email them per the website under Get Involved at the top (#6 on the list). Go to the website and click "Get Involved" at the top and please get your individual, organization, and agency support letters for the event in. All the details are there. Recruit others to do the same asap. This is about delivering our voices post election! Let's get this done as soon as possible.

Despite all odds, we have made it this far, lets finish the home run stretch tonight on the conference call. We are short a tremendous number of physical items as a result of too few people stretching themselves to far. We need your help and expertise in key areas. You know someone with skills, get them on the call tonight.

Live Call In: 724-444-7444

Talkcast id: 43507

No Pin? Just hit 1+#

Bring as many people as you can to the conference call tonight. It is important!

Also, flood the various yahoo groups with your Travel Arrangements, proposed stopping/mini rally points, and lodging details. Don't sit in silence, start reaching out to other people in your state! There are still some people that are making direct requests to just a few people instead of getting connected in their own networking circles and advocating. You should get your car pool requests spread out to and we know they are coming from every state. The only reason not to post is so you can say you didn't find one. No easy way outs, we have thought of all the excuses, so each of you PLEASE POST YOUR ITINERARIES. It is time for you to hold the hands of others instead of a few holding your hands. Everyone has the opportunity to lead and be a part of history. Don't wait for someone else to do what you are more than capable of doing. Show our government how serious you are about making every event a successful talking point in State and Federal circles.

Please follow through with the entirety of this message. Sure it is long, but how long have you had to wait to get government out of your homes? Let's work together to affect this election cycle. Everything is right here for us to carry the message Nationally, Regionally, and Locally. As we have to do is act my friends. The opportunity this year will escape us for at least 2 more years. Contribute as a volunteer or as a financial supporter.

Sincerely,

Lary Holland

National Fatherhood Summit 2008

The National Fatherhood Summit is just around the corner in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Hundreds are planning on being there. Are you?
Today I just registered for the upcoming National Fatherhood Summit in Grand Rapids, MI. The event is a two day event January 3rd and January 4th, 2008. I will be joining a host of other speakers at the event to discuss fatherhood, advocacy, and some of the issues that form as a united bureaucratic barrier to uniform parental equality. In this day and age, I would never have dreamed that I would have to advocate for equality after this nation has broken through so many hurdles for equality of the genders, the races, the ages, etc. Well, we have another serious hurdle to break through so that our children can enjoy the benefits of both a mother and a father.

Equal Parents Week Rally! Be There!

This mammoth luxury bus will be at the Lansing State Capitol Building from 8:30am to 11:30am on September 26, 2007 to support equal parenting! Will You?

CRISPE, Dads and Moms of Michigan, the Family Rights Coalition, A Child’s Right, Children Need Both Parents, Fathers for Equal Rights, Fathers-4-Justice, Parents for Children, Children’s Rights Council invite you to join us in defense of the traditional American family at this historic rally at our State Capitol during Equal Parents Week. Over 40% of Michigan’s population is being micro-managed by the family court system with disastrous consequences to our children, families and the state economy. Help transform Michigan from a wasteland of broken families into a promised land of healthy families and community renewal.

House Bill 4564, a bill to ensure equal parental responsibility, will result in a presumption of joint custody for fit parents and equal access for children to both their mother and father. Hearings on this bill are expected this fall. Your attendance at this rally will send a strong message in support of HB 4564 and serve as a demonstration of our will to be equal parents to our children.

The Equal Parents Week Rally has been organized to bring to the attention of our legislature, our executive branch, our judiciary and the general public that Equal Parenting is a civil rights issue whose time has come. America’s success was built on strong family bonds and the recognition that both a mother and a father are essential to raising healthy, moral and well adjusted children.

Equal Parenting Symposium a Success

What we are facing today, much like others in the past, is a simple civil rights violation. This is how you get heard... Let your legislators know that you are fed up and not going to take it anymore! Demand equal rights and equal treatment, meaning equal access to your children!

The Equal Parenting Symposium was a success and will be airing on local public access television in the coming week around the metro Detroit area. The most recent symposium was in the City of Pontiac, in Oakland County. Politicians, Professionals, and interested citizens from all over the state appeared for presentations by Jim Semerad (Dads and Moms of Michigan), Dr. Michael Ross (Family Rights Coalition), Lary Holland (Family Court Problems), Jay Fedewa (Family Rights Coalition) and Minister Ronald Smith (Children Need Both Parents, Inc.).

As video becomes available, it will be uploaded and shared here! Also an audio podcast will be available later this week of the speeches that were given and available for sharing and download. This event was a success and even more people are now educated about the funding mechanisms of our Friend of the Court systems, the steep rewards that are provided for the creation of absent parent households, and the devastating effects of family court on our economy.

Thanks for the Family Rights Coalition, and the other members of the symposium for helping make this event such a success!

CHEATED: A DOCUMENTED ACCOUNT OF PARENTAL ALIENATION SYNDROME (PAS)

Click the image to order Cheated, for only $16.95, by Minister and Father Ronald Smith of Grand Rapids, MI.

Click to Order Cheated today by clicking the link below or the image of the book and show your support for individuals that are leading the way to expose the Family Court Money Game for what it truly is.

Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) is the teaching of children of divorce or separation to harbor negative feelings and emotions toward the parent who generally does not have custody and does not reside in the same domicile. This is usually done in an effort for one parent to gain the respect and love of the children, while destroying the image and relationship of the absent parent. This phenomenon will generate feelings of hatred, ambivalence, and distance between children and the non-custodial parent. Our family court system does little to eliminate these occurrences, and although the parent affected is cheated of a normal relationship with the children, the real damage will manifest itself within the children.

Check out these other books Related to Parental Alienation Syndrome and the effects of divorce and custody disputes on children:
